Criba is an iPhone, iPad and Android app that brings back your photos from past years every day, lets you explore your library by place and day, and lets you swipe to keep what matters. It's made by David Reina, an independent developer based in Spain.
Why it exists
We keep thousands of photos and almost never look at them again: they get buried in an endless grid. Seeing them one at a time, full screen, brings forgotten trips and moments back, and deciding what to keep with a swipe comes naturally.
Most photo cleanup apps treat your library as a problem, charge by the week, fill the screen with ads or ask for permissions they don't need. Criba sets out to show it can be done differently.
How it's made
- No accounts, no servers of our own. Your photos never leave your device.
- On-device analysis. Documents, blurry shots and similar photos are found by your phone or tablet's chip.
- No ads, no tracking.
- Honest pricing. On This Day, exploring and deleting are always free, and your first day has no limits. To review without limits, a yearly plan or a one-time purchase. No weekly plans.
- Nothing is deleted without confirmation. Criba's own trash before anything is deleted, then 30 more days in Photos' Recently Deleted.
The guides
The guides on this site are written and reviewed by David Reina. Menu and button names are checked against Apple's official user guide and the current version of iOS before publishing, and every guide shows when it was last reviewed. Comparisons use public App Store listing data, dated when it was collected.
If you spot a mistake or something has changed in iOS, write to us and we'll fix it.
